The clay pot, brimming with rats, is unintentionally toppled by Mirabel as she investigates Bruno’s triptych nearby in the corridor. The startled rodents erupt in a scrambling mass, stampeding into a relief sculpture of Bruno and startling both her and her toucan companion. Its brief appearance creates a momentary distraction that briefly disrupts Mirabel’s path toward the inner sanctum.
