Bruno's Magic-Circling Sand
A near-perfect circular ridge of fine sand, two paces wide, etched into the stone floor of Bruno's inner sanctum. Its surface remains undisturbed except where Mirabel's footsteps displace grains. When the sealed temple door cuts off all light, the circle itself begins to fluoresce—faint at first, then erupting into a contained emerald glow from within the sand. The luminescence wells up in rhythmic pulses, as though the sand is breathing.

Purpose
To serve as a sensory trigger: the circular boundary marks the locus of Bruno’s latent enchantments, insulating and intensifying whatever power lies beneath it until activated by intrusion.
Significance
Functions as the immediate catalyst revealing that the village’s foundational magic is fractured. Mirabel’s discovery that the sand can glow and release an artifact forces her to accept that Bruno’s prophetic visions constitute the community’s only possible salvation.
