The Sandbag Revelation: Kevin’s Forced Complicity in Ashley’s Criminal Empire

The blocks of cannabis resin, wrapped in polythene, are exposed when a sandbag splits open during unloading. Their sudden appearance disrupts the idyllic scene and forces a confrontation between Ashley and Kevin. The cannabis serves as a catalyst for Ashley’s manipulation of Kevin, as well as a symbol of the criminal undercurrent at Upper Lighthazels Farm. The blocks are initially left exposed, drawing attention and tension, before Lewis is instructed to clean them up and return them to the sandbag, ensuring they are hidden once more.

Before: Hidden within the sandbags, securely wrapped in polythene, and undetected by anyone outside of Ashley’s inner circle.

After: Temporarily exposed and then quickly hidden again by Lewis, who stuffs them back into the sandbag while wearing gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints.
