Stone Slab Over Wicks’ Crypt
Heavy stone slab that seals the entrance to Monsignor Wicks’ crypt in Our Lady of Perpetual Fortitude’s graveyard. During the day, a forklift pries it open, revealing a black void from which Wicks’ recorded sermon echoes. The slab is later resealed by workers. At night, under rain, rhythmic knocks build until the slab cracks violently, allowing Wicks to emerge alive. The slab serves as the physical barrier between the crypt (object_6522531cb09a) and the outside world, playing a critical role in the narrative of Wicks’ resurrection and the unraveling of the church’s secrets.
