A specialized subspace-based decontamination system deployed during the memorial service in Ten Forward. The beam emits anyonic emissions that disrupt and neutralize chroniton fields, temporarily solidifying entities rendered intangible by chroniton contamination. Activated by Data during the memorial, it pierces the chroniton fields cloaking Geordi La Forge and Ro Laren, causing their invisible forms to materialize briefly. The beam's effect is amplified by Ro's earlier disruptor shot, which intensifies the chroniton signature, making the materialization visible to the crew (Picard, Riker, and others). This brief solidification forces Geordi and Ro to recalibrate their emissions, exposing their vulnerability to such decontamination protocols. The beam's purpose is to purge chroniton field contamination, revealing hidden entities and restoring normal matter states.
