Chamber of Light

A small chamber interrupts the ancient temple hall, its cramped space pierced by a narrow shaft of sunlight from a ceiling crack. The beam spotlights floors rigged with retractable spikes. Indy tosses a stick into the light, triggering the trap; razor spikes slam shut, impaling Forrestal's half-fleshed skeleton. Indy presses his back to the safe wall, edges along the beam's edge, and maps a path forward. Dust motes drift in tense air heavy with ancient peril; Satipo freezes in terror.
