Wolsey’s Palace at Winchester (Exile Haven)

A stone-built palace in southern England, originally intended as Cardinal Wolsey’s exile residence near the royal court but rejected by Norfolk as insufficiently punitive. Later incorporated into the King’s summer progress circuit, linking it to estates like Wolf Hall.
