Sensory impressions collapse into abstract scale: pinprick stars, cold vacuum, and the vertiginous feeling of being pulled toward unknown horizons. Narratively, these regions function as both destination and existential risk: the implied endpoint of Q’s catastrophic intervention, a place that strips the Enterprise of agency and exposes the crew to cosmic mysteries and mortal threats.
