Snow Bank by The Raven

Drifts of packed snow outside the ship The Raven glow pale under the night sky. Belzig plunges his charred, steaming hand into the cold mass seeking relief, but it freezes solid, trapping him briefly. He rips it free with a pained lurch and scrambles into the darkness, the bank both concealing his path and hindering his humiliated retreat after the medallion's supernatural burn.
