Light Shaft

A narrow shaft of sunlight pierces the Chamber of Light from a ceiling crack, casting a brilliant beam that spotlights the retractable spike trap below. Indy edges sideways into the chamber with his back pressed to the safe wall beside it, the light marking his path through dust motes and tense shadows. During Satipo's betrayal and the temple's convulsions—poison darts flying, tiles collapsing, pits yawning—it illuminates the traitor's impaled corpse. Indy reclaims the idol from the body and exploits the beam's guidance to escape, its harsh glow amplifying the space's deadly mood and confined peril.
