Bantu Wind — Lower Deck

The lower deck (cargo hold/working deck) of the freighter Bantu Wind below the bridge and toward the bow. During the sequence the sun-baked, exposed deck and its tight, stair-linked corridors fill with crew and Nazi soldiers: sailors shoulder the heavy Ark crate under rifle muzzles while Nazis sweep the area, hauling Marion from her cabin amid jeers as Indy bolts up the steps and slips into shadow. The location functions as both an open cargo/work deck and a labyrinth of stairs and passageways used for capture, pursuit, and transfer of the artifact.
