Earth (12th Century)

The TARDIS emerges into a world whose familiarity offers no comfort. In 1179 AD, Earth feels both vast and intimate to Peri—its earthen roads churn beneath her boots as she steps from the console room into thick air that carries the scent of damp loam and distant woodsmoke. Medieval England stretches in every direction, its patchwork of fields and scattered villages clinging to slopes under a brooding sky where rain clouds threaten but do not yet break. The Doctor’s instruments pulse with warnings; the planet’s temporal currents resist, their invisible currents tugging at the TARDIS’s structure like unseen hands. The green of growing crops darkens the horizon, interrupted only by the occasional stone church or timber hall—modest but solid against the weight of centuries. This is not the Earth Peri knows, yet its gravitational pull is undeniable; home is no longer a time but a place where the past survives in every furrow of the land.
