The Bantu Wind (freighter ship)

The Bantu Wind is a freighter captained by Katanga that is seized by Nazi forces: soldiers storm holds and decks, herd the ship's Black crew, and secure the crated Ark of the Covenant—moving it from the hold across decks to the waiting Wurrfler. The vessel's bridge becomes the scene of capture and a forced bargain involving Katanga, Marion, Shliemann, and Belloq, shifting the ship from a smuggling haven to a contested site of occupation.
