Ancient Temple Passageway
Inclined Passage (temple corridor)
A tight, wet, inclined tube-like corridor deep in the ancient temple used both during the approach and the escape. By torchlight it is claustrophobic and hazardous: hanging plants snag feet, razor-sharp stalactites threaten from the ceiling, and echoing drips, whistling drafts, and scampering claws amplify tension. Later, this same narrowing passage becomes the route of escape as a colossal boulder barrels down it, pulverizing walls, hurling stalactites like shrapnel, crushing Indy's hat, and ultimately wedging to seal the temple's inner chamber.
