Rise Above the Tanis Dig (Excavation Rim / Overlook)

Elevated, sun-baked desert ridge forming the rim/overlook above the Tanis excavation. Canvas tents, machinery and digging crews cluster below; the rise functions both as a reconnaissance vantage (Indy and Sallah scan the Nazi camp and Sallah identifies the distant map room by the morning light) and as the perimeter from which Indy later bursts forth on a white stallion in a high-speed chase along loose sands toward a drop-off.
