The Sanctuary

Vast domed chamber in an ancient temple pierced by ten skylights that cast shafts of light across an intricate white-and-black tiled floor rigged with deadly traps. Recessed wall holes launch poisoned darts; some tiles prove lethal. Indiana Jones tests paths with a torch, spots a dead bird riddled with needles, crosses precisely to the central altar, swaps the jeweled idol for a dirt-filled bag. The pedestal drops, mechanisms grind with a deep roar, filling the air with dust and urgency as escape begins.
