Central Altar Pedestal

This central pedestal rises in the Peruvian temple's sanctuary, a domed chamber lit by shafts of sunlight. It cradles the golden idol amid a checkerboard floor of black and white tiles rigged with dart traps and invisible blades. Indy tests the path with a torch, spots clues in a dead bird's corpse, packs his bag with dirt for balance, and swaps the idol—unleashing the temple's rumbling mechanisms as walls shift and the room turns hostile.
