Circus Train (Exterior - Freight Cars & Rooftop Chase)

The Circus Train (also referred to as 'The Train (Exterior)') barrels through open country under daylight, its freight cars, boxcars, and flatcars forming a rooftop gauntlet of peril. Indiana Jones scrambles across the roofs and sides of the train, pausing to check the Cross of Coronado before yanking a snake from his shirt. The reptile car looms below, crates of writhing serpents amplifying the peril. Roscoe ambushes from atop the car, fists flying in a brutal fight that exploits the train's pitch and lurch. The train's motion and structure are central to the narrative, with Indy leaping between cars and Nazis in pursuit. Wind whips faces, metal groans underfoot, and every grip tests survival against the rush of rails. The train's cars include the Circus Train Flatcar (Escape Route) and Rhino Boxcar, where Indy is later tripped by Roscoe.
