A small Iconian probe: a beachball-sized, translucent spherical projectile with a fragile shell and a viscous blue gel core whose surface displays crackling tendrils of energy when active. Emitted from Iconia, it scans starships and gathers telemetry; in the Yamato recording it hums and pulses while producing electrostatic signatures and directional coordinates. It appears as a high-velocity scanning projectile on long-range sensors and has been implicated in scanning and endangering the USS Yamato and subsequently engaging the Enterprise crew.
